Monte Verde windows are a great brand of windows for San Diego homeowners who are looking for a budget-friendly, but still high-quality, set of replacement windows for their homes. Here at BM Windows, we’ve been selling Monte Verde products for many years, and our customers love them!
Just because Monte Verde windows are affordable doesn’t mean they are bare bones! Monte Verde windows come standard with many great features and can also be customized by upgrading them with one or more of the available options. Read on to find out more about what comes standard with Monte Verde windows, and what upgrades are available.
Monte Verde Windows’ Energy-Saving Features
Every Monte Verde replacement window comes standard with their patented SolarGuard technology package. This includes triple-coated Low-E glass, two panes of double-strength glass separated by a warm-edge spacer, and a multi-chambered hollow frame. All of these features contribute to windows with excellent insulating properties. If you want to upgrade your Monte Verde windows to make them even more energy efficient, you can choose to have Argon gas pumped in between the two panes of glass.
Monte Verde windows are tested and certified by the independent National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). They exceed the government’s standards for Energy Star certification.
What does this mean for San Diego homeowners? It means that Monte Verde windows, when properly installed, will keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. This will allow you to use less energy to keep your home comfortable, saving you money on your monthly energy bills. If you’ve been living in a home with old, single-pane windows, you will be shocked at how comfortable your home can be year-round—even without the excessive use of your heater or air conditioner!
Decorative Features Available for Monte Verde Windows
When it comes time to choose how your Monte Verde windows will look, you have several standard options. There are three different frame styles to choose from (flush fin, nail fin, or block) and two different standard frame colors (white or tan). An adobe-colored frame is an optional upgrade. The style and color of frame you choose should complement the style and color of your home.

To give your windows some additional architectural interest, you can choose to add decorative grids to your windows. Grids come in three different styles: 5/8” flat, 5/8” sculptured, or 1” sculptured. As for grid patterns, you can choose a custom pattern that is unique to your home, or go with an established pattern such as Colonial, perimeter, or Queen Anne. You can see some examples of the grid styles and patterns here.
Finally, you can choose to have your Monte Verde windows upgraded with decorative glass. Decorative glass is a great way to change up the look of your windows, but it can also be used to obscure the view into your home. This makes decorative glass a great option for rooms in which you want some privacy from your neighbors—like a bathroom—without having to use blinds or curtains. Your decorative glass options with Monte Verde windows are obscured glass, etch matte, Flemish, rain, reed, and delta frost.

Locking Hardware on Monte Verde Windows
The standard locking hardware on Monte Verde windows is a pull-tight cam lock, available in white, tan, or adobe. An optional upgrade is Monte Verde’s Pro-Latch lock. The Pro-Latch locking system locks automatically when the window is closed and is the more secure option for that reason. It comes in white, tan, adobe, bronze, brushed nickel, or polished brass. All Monte Verde locks are securely fastened to metal reinforcements.
Monte Verde Windows Customized for Your Specific San Diego Home
Every window we sell at BM Windows is custom made just for your San Diego home. Not only does that mean that every window will fit perfectly in your home, but you can also mix and match the upgrades you want. For example, if you only want to upgrade the windows that get the hot afternoon sun with an Argon gas fill, you can do that! Or, you can only have decorative grids on the windows on the front of your home.
If you’re overwhelmed by all the available options, don’t worry! The team at BM Windows is here to help you with all the decisions that need to be made regarding your replacement windows. Our team is made up of window experts, as well as those who have been in the home improvement industry for decades!
