How long will it take to get replacement windows for my home?

At BM Windows, all of the replacement windows we sell are made to order; in other words, they are custom-made for your specific San Diego home. That means they will fit perfectly in the space that your current windows occupy and look as if they have always been a part of your home. However, that also means that the process of getting new replacement windows takes some time. The overall timeline is based on several factors, including:

• The season in which you order
• The window manufacturer you choose
• Your availability for appointments

 
The process begins when when you call our office to schedule your initial appointment. We work with you to set up a time for your in-home appointment with one of our team members that fits within your schedule. In busier seasons, we may need to schedule your appointment a little ways out, especially if you have limited availability, but we will do our best to meet with you as soon as possible to get the process started.

We’ll take all of the measurements we need and give you a quote right at that in-home meeting. Other replacement window companies may make you wait for a quote, delaying the process for several days, but our experienced and knowledgeable representatives are authorized to give you a quote on the spot.

As soon as you decide that BM Windows is the replacement window company you’re going to go with and provide us with a deposit, we’ll order your windows right away. If you are using our financing company to help pay for your new windows, we can typically approve you on the spot, so you shouldn’t have to spend any time waiting for the funding to come through.

Your replacement windows will typically take 4-6 weeks to be completed by the manufacturer (though that can fluctuate depending on the specific manufacturer and whether the windows are ordered during their busy season or their slow season). Once we have a delivery date from our manufacturer, we’ll schedule your installation date for the soonest date that is convenient for you.

On the day of installation, our team will arrive on time and get right to work. They can typically install all of the replacement windows and doors in your San Diego home in one day. If it’s a particularly large or a more complicated job, it may take a little longer.

Other San Diego replacement window companies may quote their customers several days for installation on jobs our team could do in just one.
