What is the HERO Program?
HERO stands for “Home Energy Renovation Opportunity,” and it is basically an easy way to finance energy-efficient home improvements, like replacing your windows and doors for ones with better energy saving technology. The HERO program finances the entire cost of your replacement windows and doors, as well as the installation, and you repay the loan through your property taxes, making the interest tax-deductible. Approval is based on the equity in your home, not on your credit score. All loans have low, fixed interest rates, with terms up to 20 years.
What Cities in San Diego County are Using the HERO Program?

Can Any Company Install My Replacement Windows and Doors Through the HERO Program?
No, in order to qualify for the program, you must use a contractor registered with the HERO Program, like BM Windows. This ensures that your replacement windows and doors are installed by a company that is licensed and bonded with the State of California.
Are All Replacement Window and Door Products Eligible for HERO Financing?
