The “People Love Us On Yelp” program has been in place since 2007. Unlike badges of honor given out by some of the other referral websites out there, you don’t have to be an advertiser on Yelp in order to be recognized. And the distinction isn’t given to just any business on Yelp—it is earned. According to the certificate we received directly from Yelp, the “People Love Us On Yelp” sticker “…is only awarded to the most highly rated and best reviewed businesses on Yelp.” You can’t buy a “People Love Us On Yelp” sticker. However, we have heard stories of people stealing them off of business windows or company cars, which just goes to show you how coveted these stickers actually are!

You may have seen similar stickers around town that say “Find Us On Yelp.” These stickers can be requested by any company on Yelp. Don’t be confused—just because you see the Yelp logo in a store window or on a company vehicle doesn’t mean that they are highly rated. It just means that they went to the trouble of asking Yelp for a sticker. On the other hand, the “People Love Us on Yelp” stickers are only sent out twice yearly by Yelp and only to businesses with a certain amount of reviews and a high average rating.
Yelp has never been forthcoming about the exact criteria for earning a “People Love Us On Yelp” distinction, but we know that at BM Windows, we have more than 150 Yelp reviews and an average rating of five stars (with five stars being the highest rating possible).
